Bigjeeze Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 When I took delivery of my current Gal I got two keys - One radio/Infra red and one ordinary but I also got a black plastic key - it doesn't have a proper handle but it does unlock the car and it does start it. What is it's actual purpose? I am assuming it's for programming other keys - or worst case as a get you home key. Any ideas? Quote

It's also a pretty handy size to stash away somewhere convenient for emergencies. Quote

Dave-G Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 (edited) I've never used mine - but was told it's the key James Bond would give to a hotel to get the luggage. It apparently - As Mumble Bee allures to does not open the glove box, so keep the gun in there  Edited March 9, 2007 by Dave-G Quote
chromedome Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Don't quote me on this............. I believe is was one of those moments that Ford had, you clip the key behind one of the bumpers in case you lose yours when out and about. Of course the car thieves haven't got a clue about this  Quote

Ogben Schmutzel Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 I think mumble_bee might have been on rights lines! I used to have a car with an additional key that was known as the 'butler key' for some reason. It did everthing EXCEPT open the glove box. Regards.Oggy. Quote
